(2:15) Soly is in great spirits as he’s joined by KVV, Neil and Cody to digest the season finale. BDV is back for the second week in a row as in claiming the PGA Tour season finale. Viktor Hovland won the Tour Championship by five shots over Xander Schauffele at East Lake and took home a nice chunk of change ($18M, to be exact).

(4:20) That said, it’s hard to shake off the LIV vibe of this event. Probably the only place in the world where $18M is super anticlimactic. Now that the money talk isn’t so taboo, nothing about it is all that sexy! Neil suggests a live update of the money on the line. Why can’t we make this match play again…? This format needs to figure itself out.


(9:30) Shouts to the broadcast for going commercial-free on the back nine and letting the good golf between the final pairing take the stage. It’s been a refreshing playoffs presentation from CBS, with some great chemistry between Immelman and Nantz. The real hero of the Tour Championship, however, is the cameraman that ran with Hovland after the rain delay. Neil learns the difference between a hard and a soft camera.

(13:00) Let’s recap the final round a little bit more – Viktor Hovland gets a processional on the first tee? They both went 4-under in their first six holes, with Xander birdied 8 to cut the lead to 5. Both missed short birdie on 10 and are subsequently put on the clock? We’re talking big bucks here, no one is scared!

Xander birdied the next two holes to cut the lead to three, but Hovland stays afloat, continuing to par his way through the back nine before birdies on the last three holes. Xander birdied the last and shot an impressive 62. 

(14:00) Time to play the O/U majors game starring Hovland. Setting the line at 2.5, the guys prognosticate the “cutie pie”’s chances.


(17:00) KVV raises a question—when is the last time we saw someone take an abysmal part of their golf game and turn it around in a matter of one year? Cody offers some background on the team Viktor’s has built around him, which includes a huge indulgence of stats.

(23:30) Let’s unpack 2023 for some of these big hitters who didn’t quite hit big. Why isn’t Xander better? Soly contests with Xander’s strokes gained, and Xander’s made an unreal amount of money at East Lake, but what exactly can we make of his career? He’s got all the goods – but seemingly lacks a killer instinct.

Has the world no. 1 figured out his putting woes? There were so many almosts this year with Scottie Scheffler this year. Is it time to worry about his putting re: Ryder Cup? Yeah, it is.

(41:50) The gamblers are furious – when is the Tour going to implement injury reports? We didn’t find out until Thursday that Rory hadn’t played a single hole of golf all week due to his injury. Not exactly fair to accept gambling money if there’s a lack of transparency on a player’s health.

(49:30) Monahan is booed in Atlanta! Is a match play season-ending event a tough sell for sponsors? The guys devise what a made-for-TV spectacle could be…without being “The Match.” Isolating the field to a handful of players might not be the answer, but how else can a bracket operate?

(58:50) Let’s start our Ryder Cup segment with a brief DP World Tour moment. Todd Clements won the Czech Masters by a shot over Matt Wallace. Some big finishes from Nicolai Hojgaard, Bob MacIntyre, Ludvig Aberg and Yannick Paul. Team Europe captain Luke Donald will make his captain’s picks on September 4th.


Time to dive in! Does Keegan deserve it? Even if he isn’t in the “cool kids” club? What do we make of his play + chemistry? Keegan’s team matchplay record is nothing to sniff at: 6-2-1. Cody argues Keegan is on the rebound – and that he’s deserving! Rickie, Cam Young, Spieth?

Which pairings are the right ones? Maybe the Europeans have the edge, but it seems like it’s marginal. Who will be the dark horse star of this Ryder Cup?


(1:33:00) The guys digested Jin Young Ko vs. Megan Khang in real-time, but Megan Khang prevails after one playoff hole for her first LPGA victory. Khang lost her final-round lead and Jin Young Ko rose to the challenge and nearly won it all before Khang birdied the final hole to send them into a playoff. The Solheim Cup solidifies.

It’s Hovland’s second victory of the year in what’s been a career year for the 25-year-old – he hasn’t missed a cut this year!

Randy jumps into the backstory of how he and Cody ended up on the AIG Women’s Open radio broadcast.

Randy and TC unpack a big theme: Lilia Vu might have effectively answered an ongoing “problem” in the women’s game – parity. Not only did she become the first American to win the AIG Women’s Open since Mo Martin 2014, but we’ve seen little repetition in major champions of the past four years, which has made it hard to establish who is the best of the best. But in the context of winning twice earlier this year and overcoming injury, the new world No. 1 has deservedly earned that spot – and broke a 24-year drought of two majors in a year set by Juli Inkster in 1999.

The two dive into PGA Tour regular-season finale in the Wyndham Championship, where Lucas Glover emerged victorious for his fifth PGA Tour win two strokes ahead of Byeong-hun An and Russell Henley. The putter plagued Glover, forcing a switch to a long putter that seemed to break the curse.

A substitute teacher appearance: TC and Cody take over the Sunday recap pod to touch on a 

of golf that went down this past week. (Side note: Congrats are in order for our very own Casey Landman, who won her club championship this past week!)

(5:15) The duo opens things by chatting about the 3M Open, where Lee Hodges totally dominated with a 24-under week, winning by a whole 

TC and Cody tag team Down the Leaderboard before jumping into Ryder Cup implications. (13:00) TC has some Ludvig explaining to do…and asks him to 

Cody brings up an excellent point: Why doesn’t someone like Akshay Bhatia (a non-member) get FedExCup points, even with a special temporary membership?

(22:30) Jordan…I mean me…ok, I’m not gonna refer to myself in the third person. I hop on to talk with the guys about the Evian Championship and the U.S. Junior Amateur. Celine Boutier outlasted a top-notch leaderboard to become the first Frenchwoman to win the Evian, and earned her first major in the process. I claim she “Brian Harman’d that sh*t” after being the 54-hole leader and winning by six shots.

(27:00) That’s the kind of win to lock Celine into her second Solheim Cup appearance – and make Team Europe look extra dangerous. Let’s assess their chances. A Ciganda conspiracy? TC dives into Carlota Ciganda’s DQ, which resulted from her refusing to sign her scorecard according to a 2-stroke slow play penalty assessed during her second round. Was that the right hill to die on given her spot on the Solheim Cup points list?

(33:40) So…is Evian legit yet? I argue that by proxy of the field and identification, it’s a piece of a larger puzzle.

(42:20) Cody notes Team USA is in TROUBLE. Danielle Kang is making the Solheim Cup team with this kind of year? 73-79 at Evian to miss the cut. And Lexi Thompson skips Evian for the third time in a row?

(45:00) We come up with who we’d most love to play a Pro-Am with: Patty Tavatanakit, Charley Hull, Rose Zhang, Angel Yin, Jenny Shin, Nasa Hataoka and Minjee Lee all make our individual lists, for different reasons.

(47:15) Time to talk some U.S. Junior Am! Certainly a strange year at the Junior Amateur with too many weather delays to count and a championship match spanning two days. Does the U.S. Junior indicate better professional success vs. the U.S. Amateur? Billy Davis is emerging from his twin Anna’s shadow!


Incoming Duke freshman Bryan Kim defeated Joshua Bai, 2 up, in his final junior event. Very back-and-forth match, but Kim won the final two holes down the stretch…and didn’t even have to putt for the title? A tough sequence from Bai, who tried to go for the green in two resulted in three disastrous chips – one involving TIO.


(59:06) Back to TC and Cody. TC quickly indulges in the gnarly conditties at the Royal Porthcawl, where Alex Cejka bested Padraig Harrington on the second playoff hole to win the Senior Open title.


(1:01:30) Big Jay is back on the job after sending out a massive memo on Wednesday night. The PGA Tour details its opposition to the USGA’s proposed rollback and the announcement of the “Player Benefit Program,” aka, reparations for those who never made the jump to LIV. Basically, Jay wants to get back in the good graces of the PGA Tour membership. Also in the works is the assembly of a committee designed to “develop potential pathways back to the PGA Tour for LIV players who wish to reapply in the future.”

(01:14:15) PGA Tour Canada cheating controversy! Just a little change up of a score after Justin Doeden hit it in the water on the final hole of his round and changed a 7 to a 5, hoping his playing partners wouldn’t notice after they left scoring. Sike. They totally did.


(01:16:30) Shouts to Barstool and the Korn Ferry Tour for innovation on the coverage side, and to Michael Thorbjornsen for coming out on top on the PGA Tour U rankings.

(33:40) Fine, TC. It might take a little longer to elevate the Evian, and it might start with the course. The Evian Resort Club has some legitimacy to it, but we might be Bellerive’ing it here in giving too much weight to the leaderboard.


(47:15) Look, maybe, just maybe, we have an equal amount of flukey winners on both the Junior and the U.S. Am side. I’ll nominate myself. Still, @ me.
