2004

(4:45) College dorm neighbors TC and Soly at the Miami University of Ohio became fast friends after discovering a mutual love for the Tiger Woods PGA Tour Golf and NCAA Football series. TC and Randy become fraternity brothers, with the budding golf fandoms slowly blooming. 2014

(21:30) January 2014 births the No Laying Up website. He and his roommate Matt McClure embark on coding the first No Laying Up website. Neil penned the very first post on the website, which you can find here.

The original #TourSauce debuts.

The PGA Tour was quite taken by the #takes being delivered by the No Laying Up Twitter account, but there was one employee in particular who had done so in admiration: D.J. Piehowski. He remained in their orbit for some time.

(32:00) March 2014: Rising journalism star Neil Schuster flexes his interview skills at the infamous Hangout with Jessica Korda.

April 2014: The guys get credentialed at a PGA Tour event, and the first podcast is released. Topics include 20-minute tirades about Matt Kuchar (if you can believe), top five PGA Tour events, one PGA Tour course outside of Augusta, next big Americans to win a major.

(47:40) May 28th, 2014: The day the NLU 40-email-long merch chain began.

(49:20) August 2014: Exclusive Ashley Bongiovanni interview drops, which Soly describes as NLU's "big break."

November 2014: Spotted: Billy Horschel in an NLU tee.

December 2014: The visually-driven Saucies are born and rub the media rights folks in Ponte Vedra the wrong way.

2015

(55:30) January 2015: Justin Thomas comes on the podcast with a sleep-deprived Soly.

Other notable early guests: Shane Bacon, Kyle Porter, Kevin Van Valkenburg, Adam Sarson, Shane Ryan and Ashley Mayo.

(1:06:55) D.J., Soly and KVV meet for the first time at The Open in St. Andrews. Around the same time, the Tiger Tinder tweet goes viral.

2016

(1:10:00) February 21st, 2016: TC wages his war on golf coverage with: An Eye on CBS - An Intervention.

March 2016: D.J. makes a sneaky podcast appearance after the Masters to talk about Spieth's collapse.

May 6, 2016: D.J. fixes spike marks at JFK, documents it on Vine (RIP) and wins the first #TourSauce in the wild competition.

Charles Howell approaches Soly and praises NLU at Memorial. Rory references NLU Twitter.

(1:15:00) September 2016: Rory taunts Soly at the Ryder Cup, which leads to his very first appearance on the podcast.

July 2016: The TrapDraw debuts.

Somewhere around this time, Cody is introduced to the NLU content verse while deployed in Syria.

December 2016: Rory tees debut.

2017

(1:23:00) February 2017: The golf blog, "No Laying It Up," breaks the news that Rory plays with Trump.

March 2017: Soly and TC venture to Northwest England and initiated discussions about making NLU a full-time thing.

April 10th, 2017: Neil and KVV meet.

(1:36:00) May 5th, 2017: Soly submits his letter of resignation from KPMG.

May 17th, 2017: The "Stand Up to Tron" movement begins on Twitter. The guys get invited to The Players.

June 2017: TC plays the BMW Charity Pro-Am.

(1:43:00) July 24th, 2017: The Sistine Chapel of Tourist Sauce: The famous "mis-titled" Spieth tweet.

August 3rd, 2017: D.J.'s last day at the PGA Tour.

In that same week, Soly stays in the locker room at Firestone GC.

August 12th, 2017: Golf Adjacent, AKA, the Strapped prequel, is filmed at Quail Hollow.

Soly embarks on a short-lived journey to the Asian swing.

November 24th, 2017: The squad leaves for Tourist Sauce: Australia.

2018

(1:54:00) January, 1st 2018: Killhouse lease begins, with Randy and Soly as its first occupants. As of December 31st, 2023, the Killhouse is no longer - but a deeper dive of the origins story of the Killhouse can be found here.

January 29th, 2018: The Refuge message board is born, all derived from the creative genius of Big Randy.

February 2018: Neil, armed with a t-shirt cannon, is nearly arrested outside of the Waste Management Phoenix Open.

April 25th, 2018: Randy takes a scary tumble at Bandon.

July 7th, 2018: Gang leaves for Tourist Sauce: Scotland, which proves to be quite the journey. Some insight into D.J.'s process, too.

July 9th: Randy gets backed down by Rickie Fowler at North Berwick.

July 11th: Elie Socks Day inspires looser sock decorum.

(2:14:00) August 15th, 2018: First shoot day of Strapped, after a deep brainstorming sesh in the Native Sun grocery store bar.

September 22nd, 2018: The gang tapes a podcast with Max Homa that was never actually documented. The second take, recorded immediately after, can be found here.

May 13th, 2019: No ambush marketing! The PGA Tour asks NLU to end its HIGHLY ILLEGAL campaign.

June 7, 2019: Neil caddies for D.J. at the BMW Charity Pro-Am after a rough night.
