As golf season heats up nationwide, we've teamed up with our friends at Unknown Golf to bring you The Ring, our virtual golf competition community. We will host a new monthly competition based on stats tracked by posting your scores to GHIN through the Unknown Golf App or website. Find out more about Unknown Golf here.
In May, we ran two concurrent tournaments based on the number of birdies made.
Most Gross Birdies was won by Propajondhi, who recorded 34 of them!
VinnyCal75 takes the contest for most NET birdies with 69! (Nice)
Both are Nest members and will get something from the NLU Prize Closet!
For June, we challenge you to get out and play at as many different courses as possible. This will be an individual contest as well as an NLU Roost contest: Which Roost visits the most courses?
When the month ends, the Nest Member at the top of the individual standings will win something from the No Laying Up prize closet, and the winning Roost will get some swag for their club! If you're not a Nest Member, don't worry - you can still participate for bragging rights. (If you want to learn more about and join the Nest, click here.)
To #GetInvolved, you'll need to have/do the following:
- A free No Laying Up account (previously a free Refuge account) or Nest membership. Don't have one? You can register for a free No Laying Up account here.
- A valid USGA GHIN #.
- Access to the Unknown Golf app or website to post your scores to GHIN.
- You MUST post your scores via Unknown Golf to GHIN to have the round count for the Ring. Scores entered through other apps or on your behalf by local golf associations are not eligible to count for the Ring.
- Register for the Ring competition community below.
- Use your best judgement, don't be a scumbag. Play golf and post your scores to GHIN through Unknown Golf to start tracking your rounds!
Standings will be updated in real time. Use the links below to see where you stand throughout the month.
If you have any questions, shoot us an email.
See you in The Ring!
Please note that, at this time, Unknown Golf can only post scores to GHIN, so we are limited to US players for now. However, we will open the competitions up to everyone as Unknown Golf adds other golf governing bodies to its roster (Golf Canada, R&A, etc...).
