A native of Atlanta, TC attended Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, where he linked up with Soly and Randy to form the basis of what became No Laying Up. After stints in sales, hospitality and revenue management in Atlanta and Boston, TC and his wife Alex settled in Jacksonville Beach, Florida, with their two sons, Fredrik and Gustav, and their two Australian Shepherds, Julius Peppers and Rugby. From his home in Jax Beach, TC can keep tabs on the goings on inside the moat just down the road in Ponte Vedra Beach. When he's not championing future European Ryder Cup team prospects, Tron enjoys cooking, traveling, monitoring various global affairs, and acting as a self-appointed air travel ombudsman.

Native of the Queen City, Cincinnati, Ohio. Grew up loving and playing sports, golf included, though never was very good. Graduated from Miami University. Public accounting for a few years and then got an MBA from Indiana University. Over-qualified substitute teacher and aide for several years while coaching basketball. Favorite things about No Laying Up are the places it takes me, the people it introduces me to, and the benches I’ve sat upon.

The self-proclaimed ‘Merch Czar,’ Neil is a founding member of No Laying Up and has played a big role behind the scenes since day 1 running merchandising and guerilla marketing campaigns. Since making the Cinderella side hustle known as No Laying Up his full time focus in 2019, Neil has taken on a bigger role running NLU's business and internal operations as well as participating in more podcast and video content. Before NLU, Neil spent 2+ years at Google and another 4 years working for two different disruptive and wildly unsuccessful start-up’s in San Francisco. He graduated from Columbia University where he majored in creative writing and played 4 years of free safety culminating in a double overtime win on Senior Day to cement a 1-9 record and avoid the shame of a of an 0-10 defeated season #GoLions. He now lives in Brooklyn and with his wife and black lab.

Neil Schuster

D.J. Piehowski started in the golf industry in 2009, working as a writer and editor for Golfweek Magazine before a five-year stint creating digital content at the PGA Tour. He joined NLU in 2017 with the pitch that we "should probably do video stuff." Since then, he's been the EP for NLU's video content, as well as a regular contributor to NLU's podcasts and website. He lives in Milwaukee, WI, with his wife Justine and two dogs. Hobbies include massively overthinking the golf swing.

Self-appointed Chief Security Officer of No Laying Up. When not handling security concerns on a global scale, you will find me running company operations with Neil.

Before No Laying Up, I dedicated my life to the service of his country. From 2005-2020, I rose through the ranks of the U.S. Special Operations Command serving in various Units and positions focusing on global direct action and counterterrorism operations. I have deployed a total of 18 times in support of the Global War on Terrorism.

Proudly raised in the great state of Montana, I now live in northern Texas with wife Yari and our three amazing daughters.

Cody AKA Sarge

When a love for golf intersects with a passion for product and customer service AND a background in radio/promotions/marketing and product development/production/retail operations - you get Casey. Getting #involved with NLU via the podcast and the Refuge message board over 5 years ago set up a series of events that led to her combining all those things mentioned into her dream job of making merch for golf sickos everywhere with the NLU Pro Shop.

Born and raised in the Pennsylvania suburbs of Philadelphia, now living on the New Jersey side, Casey spends her time outside NLU rooting for the Phillies, trying out new recipes, hanging out with her husband, Jon, and their three cats, going to concerts, traveling, and playing as much golf as humanly possible.

Started out building a golf course in my backyard and now working in #content for the wayward crew. Ben lives in Kansas City with my wife Kelley and our dog Louie. Perfect evening is nine holes with Kelley after work followed by an all-world meal.

Jordan Perez is an amateur golf geek and a proud University of Florida alumna. Golf stole her heart in college and remains her most complex sports love to date. Some of her bylines include work found in Golf Digest, Amateur Golf and Golfweek. If she's not scrolling WAGR, she's probably playing Street Fighter.

Before starting with NLU in January of 2025, Matt spent three years at the PGA TOUR, where he was a content producer who oversaw the shooting of press conferences and interviews. His sports media journey has wound its way through multiple cities and mediums, ultimately landing with a social focus here at NLU. Originally from Cleveland, Matt is fighting a constant battle against the big right miss and now lives in Jacksonville with his fiancée, Hannah.
