When we set out to form what eventually became No Laying Up in 2014, the main goal was to create a community of golf fans capable of having authentic and tangible conversations about the game we love. While we have loved interacting with followers on social media, we couldn’t shake the feeling that there was something missing from that community.
Enter, The Refuge. The goal for this message board is to create a place where golf fans can engage in respectful, nuanced, and authentic golf conversations. Whether that be discussion on professional golf, help with organizing a weekend game, golf travel, or golf course architecture, we believe that our followers have the intellectual capacity and the resources to add value to the conversation around golf.
In addition, we plan to engage with listeners and followers on a daily basis. Whether that be feedback on podcasts, tweets, or blog posts, or simply suggestions or agreements/disagreements with our takes, we welcome followers to use this medium to provide the feedback that is sometimes hard to get across in 280 characters on twitter.
